Serge Fabriano, a musician from Guadalupe, in the French Caribbean Islands, has a wonderful Caribbean jazz album featuring the Gwo-Ka drum in full force. Produced in 1982, this album was produced by another Guadalupe artist, Erick Cosaque. Percussive, spiritual and tropical—reminiscent of an Afro-jazz album. (koichi sakai)
